The Toyota Yaris has long been a top choice for the subcompact car segment, and with some pleasing updates for the 2018 model-year, the Yaris offers an even more compelling choice for budget-minded consumers. This includes a bolder look and upgraded standard features, including new audio and convenience features.
Design Changes for 2018 Toyota Yaris
The exterior of the 2018 Yaris gets a fresh new face with a bolder front grille and an updated headlight design. The L and LE grille features a chrome accent, while the sporty SE debuts a unique front fascia with piano black mesh grille and chrome trim. At the rear, the new Yaris has wider horizontal tail lamps and a revised lower bumper. Also, Yaris buyers have a choice of two new color options, including Blue Eclipse Metallic and a new two-tone, Blue Eclipse Metallic with Black Sand Pearl roof.
New Audio and Convenience Features in 2018 Yaris
Inside the cabin, 2018 Yaris owners are treated to several new audio and convenience updates. All grades have an integrated backup camera display with projected path function, while both the L and LE grades feature the same comprehensive analog instrumentation as the SE. The sporty instrument panel includes a speedometer, tachometer and fuel gauge, LCD display with odometer, trip meters, clock, outside temperature, current/average fuel economy, distance to empty, average speed and shift position, ECO-driving indicator and warning messages.
The Entune multimedia system sees some upgrades as well. For the L and LE grades, it features a 6.1-in. touchscreen display, six speakers, auxiliary input jack, USB 2.0 port with iPod connectivity and control and advanced voice recognition. With the Yaris SE, you’ll get the Entune Audio Plus with Connected Navigation App, which features a 7-in. high-resolution touchscreen, Connected Navigation Scout GPS Link App, SiriusXM Satellite Radio with 3-month complimentary All Access trial, HD Radio and HD Radio Traffic.
