Athletic competitions give people a chance to test their limits and have a fun day meeting new friends. Special Olympics Colorado does tremendous work putting together many great events for athletes each year. Because of the organization’s dedication to the community, our team at Western Slope Toyota is proud to sponsor the Western Regional Basketball Tournament hosted by this fantastic organization on Feb. 15 at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction. The athletes are very talented, and we are excited to see them showcase their skills for the community. Year-round sports training and athletic competitions in a variety of Olympic-type sports serve both children and adults. Special Olympics Colorado helps the athletes develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and share their skills with friends and family. This organization also hosts the popular Poplar Plunge in several locations around the state. These events raise money for programs used by more than 25,000 Special Olympics athletes in Colorado.
